Secret Network Ecosystem Roadmap – May Update!

In April, the Secret ecosystem saw the launch of the first private lending protocol launch with SiennaLand. In addition, Stashh, another pivotal application, launched its auction functionality. This month’s roadmap has a couple of new, highly anticipated innovations and applications.

Greetings Secret community!

In April, we saw the launch of the first private lending protocol. SiennaLend has seen over $5M worth of deposits into its Lending protocol in just a week! In addition, Stashh launched its auction module, allowing SecretNFT owners and creators to put their NFTs up for auction, further expanding the network.

We see five new projects on the roadmap, looking ahead to May and beyond:

1) Selenian Network – is a new DeFi protocol that helps maximize yield on your digital assets.                                                            
2) ALTER mobile support – will be launching in June, making the ALTER product more accessible and ready for use.
3) Silk Pay – is a branded payment app from the Shade team that allows easy transfer of (SNIP-20) assets.
4) Spawn Art NFPs – is creating an open-source platform for developing NFPs. NFPs are NFTs with encrypted executable components that run safely in browsers and native applications.
5) Sienna Governance – is the governance module that lets the Sienna community vote in the Sienna DAO.

For May, we can expect three applications and two protocol developments. First is Shockwave Alpha, the protocol update that will provide a massive performance increase. Second, Selenian Network will launch its Governance module. Finally, SCRT Labs will be launching Legendao and Fractionalized NFT Reference Implementation.

Secret Network Developer Grants

The Secret Network Grant Program was initially funded with 20M $SCRT – currently worth over ~$70,000,000. For simplicity, proposals are split into three categories: Secret Apps, for everything directly built on top of Secret Network; Ecosystem, for tools that expand Secret Network and improve general usability; and Network improvements, for significant upgrades to the network itself.

Secret DeFi and Secret NFTs (private metadata) hold many use cases for the Secret Network application layer. The program has already rewarded grants for developing the NFT reference implementation and Secret Fardels, a new kind of decentralized social media leveraging Secret NFTs.
